Reform Poncho by Sheree Toh

“For this project, I was inspired by the Dazzle ships and how they were painted to confuse
rather than to disguise, such that other ships would not be able to easily identify the form of
the moving vessel. The playing notions of perception and visibility appeals to me, hence the
starting point to design a lay plan that mimics the aerial view of a ship. Intended for the
wearer to have a spontaneous and fun relationship with the garment, I have added strap
loops and cords that the individual can manipulate to form a new perceived garment.” -Sheree
